I'd give it 3.5 if I could.. it's actually very functional. I wanted a locking cabinet with see-through doors for my eldest daughter to be able to display her LEGO creations while keeping the little siblings out. This fit the space perfectly where before we had a 3x3 cubby, and it actually has a little more space inside than the old shelves did. She's so excited she has a key, and the thing is pretty sturdy. The real downside though was the terrible instructions and the absolute pain it was to assemble.. every screw was in a place that was hard to screw in and did not want to catch. Just glad the dang thing is together, and hope the lock holds up.
